Our ladies found themselves playing their 3rd game in 5 days to top off a very busy week as they look to finish strongly 10 days ahead of the seasons opening game.
Manager Josh said “The girls have worked extremely hard over the summer, to get their fitness and style of play to a place where we feel we are in to be able to achieve our goal for league promotion. I feel we are ready to become a real force in the league this season.”
Finishing strong with a comfortable victory against Leyton Orient. Chelise Fleming’s incredible form, with 10 goals in just 3 games, along with Lily Hanlon’s contributions, shows that the team is in great shape ahead of the season opener. With 22 goals scored and only 4 conceded in 5 games, the squad clearly has both the offensive power and defensive solidity to be a serious contender for promotion this season. Manager Josh’s comments reflect the team’s hard work and readiness to make a significant impact in the league.
The support from the fans under the lights must have added to the atmosphere and motivation for the players. It sounds like a very exciting season ahead!
The ladies start their campaign next Sunday, 18th August, against newly promoted Frontiers at Wormley Rovers FC 2pm Kick Off.
