6th win in a row sees Worms climb to 3rd

The team had a number of changes from the week before due to injuries and players not available but was still a very strong side, a dream start for us saw Reiss Webber steal the ball off the opponents’ centre half and set up Connor Scully who took a touch and passed the ball into the net 1-0 3mins. The game then drifted along for the rest of the half both teams trying to play football but often the fourth or fifth pass of a move would break down or be given away. A clever ball from Reiss put Connor in down the left but the pull back was blazed over the bar by Reece Barrett. Our defence looked comfortable, but Shefford were seeing a lot of the ball as the referee blew the whistle for half time 1-0 45 mins

The second half saw some improvement, but we never had that zip that has been in our play in recent weeks however Reece Mosanya went close after another mazy run and shot, Ibs always looked a threat and Reiss Webber just took a touch too many after clever interplay saw him arrive in the penalty area and just get crowded out before he could get his shot off. A couple of standard saves from Carlos gave the opposition some hope but overall, we never really looked in danger but at 1-0 as we all know in football anything can happen. Credit to our defenders they stopped and blocked everything thrown at them and what wasn’t a great game drifted along to its conclusion. 1-0 90 mins

Man of the Match just edging out Danny Haigh was Reiss Webber

Overall if you don’t play at your best and win the game that is a real positive and its another win and another three points on the board after our sixth win in a row. Congratulations to Ryan, his management team and the players on a great start to the season
