We travelled to Harpenden Town for the second time this season this time in the Herts Senior Cup. Wormley dominated posesion from the start and looked dangerous going forward with Finbar King central flaked by George Beattie and Ibs Kehinde. However finishing good approach play seems to be a problem recently but the goal did eventually come after a great run by left back Cormack Clark saw him brought down in the area. Ibs stepped up to cooly convert the penalty and take us in 1 up at half time. Unsurprisingly Harpenden were more of a threat in the second half requiring Carlos in goal to be on his game but more often than not poor finishing letting them down. Wormley continued to create chances with Luke Marshall proving a threat down the right flank. Harpenden finally drew level following a free header from a needlessly conceded corner with 10 minutes left, the game continued with an end to end feel but neither team could steal the win.
So penalties ensued and it was Carlos Simeon who would become the hero saving two spot kicks and converting the last kick himself to seal victory and take us into the next round where we have a home tie against the winners of Kings Langley v Tring Athletic.
